Wildlife camera 2021

I’ve been putting out the camera since the end of May, and we’re delighted that the hedgehogs have returned. At least three, and maybe four arrive between midnight and 3:30. I did catch one at dawn as well, but only once. Anyway, here are a couple of videos – the first of the hedgehogs feeding …

… the second of some other visitors, a shrew (and an encounter with a snail), a squirrel, some sparrows, a pair of blackbirds (in close-up) and a posing wood pigeon (Woodie) …

Hedgehog Watch – Part 2

Up to now the videos of our night time visitor have been taken using the infra-red light in the Victure HC100 camera I’ve been using. What a pleasant surprise last night to get this clip taken at 5:00am in the morning. Up until now I’ve assumed that they have a route and timetable they follow – but that’s obviously not the case; unless this is a new visitor!
